Caramalised Masala Makhanaare so easy to make and are all time kids favourite. So why not to make a snack which is so tasty and also extremely healthy. Kids can pop them and enjoy all different flavors bursting in mouth. Isnt it?

A must try recipe for sure, purely because it is so easy to make and hassel free. Make in a big batch because everyone would want to munch over it. Only thing is they tend to get sticky so I keep them in air tight container in refrigerator and they stay good for long. Best part is the mixed spices and the crunch. You can team this up with your mocktails too in the party and enjoy it more.

Caramalised Masala Makhana are rich in Protein, calcium , fibre and no wonder you would want your kids to eat it more. Make it for their friends too instead of pop corn and they too will love you.

Ingredients

  • 4 cup Makhana
  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 4 tbsp Jaggery
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Chilli Flakes
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Chat Masala
  • 1 tsp Oregano Seasoning
  • 1 tsp Chia Seeds

Instructions

    Heat 1 tsp ghee and roast all the makhanas till they are nice and crispy and then take them out on a flat plate.

    Now in a pan heat jaggery with 2 tbsp of water and as it bubbles up add all the seasonings and mix well and quickly turn off flame , add 1 tsp of ghee and mix all the makhanas so they get coated with the caramalised seasonings.

    Add some chia seeds so they stick over it and let them cool. They might stick with each other so separate them as you eat crunchy bites.
