Egg and Oats Wrap is here to stay, atleast for me. I mean my son has been asked me every time I mention egg for snacks so much that now I am just asking him for a break. The thin base of egg and combination of cheese, oats and vegetables work wonders. I generally prefer making these after his sports practice session for a protein rich meal.

You can add your own choice of vegetables in it, I however love the taste of bell peppers with oats , italian seasonings and cheese. You can add your own favorite vegetables in this Egg and Oats Wrap. Just remember to make sure that you add as many vegetables you can. They add more vitamins and fibre too in this recipe of Egg and Oats Wrap.

Also I have one more very interesting recipe of Oats and Eggs and its here.

Ingredients

  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 cup Oats
  • 2 tbsp Chopped Onions
  • 1/2 Sliced Onions
  • 1 tsp Chopped Garlic
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Italian Seasonings
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Coriander
  • 1 Cheese Slice
  • 1/4 Capsicum Juliennes
  • 1 tbsp Oil

Instructions

  1. 1

Take a pan and heat 1 tsp oil and saute garlic and then add onions and oats with some salt and roast it for 1 min and add 1/2 water and add black pepper and cook till it absorbs all the water. Keep this aside.

  2. 2

Beat the egg and heat a pan with large base. Oil the pan and pour the egg to make a big but thin omelette.

  3. 3

Once egg is done both side transfer it on a plate and in the centre keep the cheese slice and on that square add the oats mix and then top it up with capsicum and onions.

  4. 4

Sprinkle italian seasonings , black pepper and cover it from all four side one by one. So this would become like a square shaped packet.

  5. 5

Gently transfer this on pan and cook it again from both sides for 30 secs. The heat will make cheese mix well and give a nice flavour. If you want to skip cheese its perfectly fine too.

  6. 6

Next cut it in two or quarters and serve hot.
