Here is a recipe of Horse Gram and Peas Kabab. Horse Gram in itself is highly nutritious. It is very rich on Protein content and equally good source of Iron and Calcium. Most people who love sports should have this amazing lentil in their diet. I have used sprouted version for a better digestion. Infact it’s always better that way otherwise make sure they have been soaked nicely and the water is discarded.

These Horse grams get their name from it being part of fodder for horses and they provided great strength. You can use Horse Gram in various recipes, however I found this quite an easy try with a combination of Green Peas and Sattu. Both Peas and Sattu enhance the protein content hence making this a great post workout meal too. I loved the taste of these Horse Gram and Peas Kabab as well as the soft texture. Free free to use this a patty between whotewheat burger and enjoy another version of Horse Gram and Peas Kabab.

If you want to make them stiffer then add little bread crumbs too. Otherwise this is one good healthy, vegan and even gluten free recipe for you to try. Alternatively you can use the mixture on a piece of bread for it to get a sturdy shape and crispy sides too .Something like this recipe of Oats and Corn Tikki. You can also use this mixture in fillings of Parathas or even knead it with dough to make it simpler. I loved teaming these with green chutney. However you can think of any fun dip as well eg may be some homemade cheese sauce.

So use this recipe as you feel it suits your palate by adding few more things to enhance the taste like mint leaves, cheese or roasted peppers etc and enjoy cooking. On that note, here is the recipe for you to try and test yourself.
